Personal Reflections on Adopting Bitcoin 2024

Definition: A short, memorable phrase used to represent a brand, product, or idea, aimed at conveying its core message or values effectively.

Let’s be honest—no matter how deep or powerful a given slogan may sound, we often don’t take it too seriously. In most cases, it feels more like a catchy phrase than a true reflection of the brand’s essence.

After attending Adopting Bitcoin 2024, I know there are exceptions.

“The high-signal Bitcoin conference for builders”— words that greet you on the project’s website. Simple yet meaningful. Words that go far beyond a marketing phrase. Their meaning is felt and seen in every moment of this incredible conference.

From the choice of location and overall setup to the fantastic program, invited guests, and all the attendees—it was perfect in size and rich in activities. Indeed, the conference built on signal, created for and with real builders. The entire place was radiating amazing energy, intelligence, and integrity with every step you took.

I’ve been to many events in the last years, and without taking anything away from them, what I experienced at AB2024 is one of the strongest things my heart and mind can grasp. Empowering, inspirational, set on unique moments, and focused on actions – from day one of the conference to its very end!

Bonus? Well, definitely the side events. Just look at these: Mi Primer Bitcoin Graduation, Bitcoin Educators Unconference, Mujeres en Bitcoin, Living the Bitcoin Life in El Salvador, Bitcoin Educators Unconference, NOSTR Day, and a few amazing after-parties. These are just some of the many things that in my opinion added extra magic to this year's event!

If I had to choose just one conference to attend each year, it would be Adopting Bitcoin. Pure signal and visible PoW shape its organization and flow, as well as all the amazing connections that are the true backbone of everything happening there.

The knowledge and energy I gained—which probably resonate through the veins of everyone who took part in Adopting Bitcoin this year—will stay with us until the next edition, motivating us to take our own small but meaningful steps, every single day.

The better future—or progress—doesn’t just come like fiat money out of thin air. It’s the heart of our actions. It’s up to us to shape the world we wake up to tomorrow.

I won’t list specific examples from the program or mention any names, because that would turn this brief note into a story. Adopting Bitcoin is truly unique. Only those who experience it will understand. Hope to see you there next year.
