Data.
For some, maybe even for most of us, just boring spreadsheets and endless stats you'd either ignore or simply scroll past without any real engagement.
For others, it's a goldmine of hidden patterns that can shape how we 'approach' the world.
If you're reading this, I probably don't need to convince you that the hyper-connected era we're living in is fundamentally defined by data. The invisible architecture steering human decisions, big and small.
But I'm not here to get us stuck in the doom and gloom, so let me skip any deeper insights on the “digital goldmines”—too often twisted and weaponized against us (the very people who generate it).
Instead, let's flip the script:
When handled ethically (collected with consent, analyzed with care, shared transparently, etc.) data stops exploiting and starts empowering. It becomes a force for good, guiding us toward purposeful actions and lighting up opportunities we might otherwise overlook.
In the Bitcoin space, data isn't just numbers, and sure, it isn't the weapon aimed at its users. It’s more like a practical roadmap. A way to, for example, finally build a career that fits your inner-values and passions.
And really, the data is only part of the story. Just the surface.
Deep down, it’s actually about building a future where your work feels meaningful, not like a daily compromise.
For many Bitcoiners, there often comes a moment when they realize that just stacking sats through side hustles or swapping fiat isn't quite enough anymore. They begin craving something more: a genuine connection where Bitcoin becomes their main source of income, not just a side gig or hobby.

It’s the moment when posting on Nostr, scrolling X (or whatever “platform”), and even having great chats at meetups and conferences starts to feel like the very basic stuff.
What really pulls us in is actually building in the ecosystem. Contributing real work—and getting paid for it—so we can feel satisfaction of a livelihood aligned with our convictions.
The catch?
Still a persistent myth that lingers—both in mainstream media and in 'our circles' too— that jobs in the Bitcoin space are hyper-technical, and reserved for coding wizards.
The unspoken message: "Don't bother applying; it's out of reach."
Well, prepare to have that notion shattered. The reality is far more accessible and diverse than you might think.
From HODL to Hire Me
The data makes that clear. Back in 2024, Bitvocation—a project I've mentioned before in my texts, a go-to hub for "orange-pilled" individuals seeking new careers—released its very first Bitcoin Job Market Report.
Actually, the very first report of its kind ever produced.
Back then, drawing from 1,707 unique listings, last ear alone showed a whopping 69% in non-developer roles. We're talking product managers, accountants, graphic designers, community builders, marketers, and more. Over 1,000 positions that could build on skills many of us already have from our non-Bitcoin jobs.
Now, fast-forward to the latest report, since the second edition is out.
Bitvocation's Annual Deep Dive into Job Data & Employer Insights
romising trends and some interesting surprises point to a maturing ecosystem.Let’s look at the key numbers:
- +6% in total unique job listings year-over-year, quite steady expansion; from 1,707 to 1,801.
- +5% rise in Bitcoin-only roles, now making up 47% of all postings; by the way, with an impressive +19% month-to-month growth compared to past trends from 2024, pointing to a shift toward purer, Bitcoin-focused opportunities.
- Consistent trend in remote Bitcoin-only positions (809 in total), reflecting the decentralized ethos itself and making it easier for global talent to plug in without relocating.
Now! You might wonder:
- What kinds of roles dominate this landscape?
- How do they match my background?
- And finally, what are the TOP BITCOIN-ONLY COMPANIES hiring?
To start, here’s a screenshot covering the last point.

As for the remaining two (roles and skillset): Well, the data shows non-dev jobs still hold strong (over 70%, and nicely diversified), spanning sectors like mining operations, media and content creation, design, marketing, education, and general ops.
From entry-level positions and unpaid internships to mid-senior spots, there’s a spectrum I believe most of you can find something fitting:

The bottom line?
Bitcoin isn't just a protocol, but a living ecosystem. It needs builders in every sense of the word—including storytellers, educators, designers, accountants, salespeople, analysts, organizers, artists, HRs, and different types of 'operators'—just as much as it needs engineers and technical experts.
As the network grows, so does the need for its "human layer". A diverse mix of talents turning code into culture and ideas into actual results.
As Anja nicely put it: “ Bitcoin is a network, a community, and (for now) a parallel economy. I believe the Bitcoin job market only works when it's aligned with that reality .”
HERE is the link to the full 2025 report , with all the details, like company breakdowns, location trends, and more: BITCOIN JOBS 2025: THE YEAR IN REVIEW.
Anyway, the goal here is just to pique your interest and share the good news: as Bitcoin continues maturing and gaining strength, the job market built around it isn’t shrinking either.
A quick and IMPORTANT note:
I'm not saying that landing one of these jobs is a walk in the park just because you understand Bitcoin.
Opportunities are real, but seizing them demands upfront effort: your "Proof of Work".
By the way!
Especially cool part of the recent data published by Bitvication?
To complement the job market report, they ran a small qualitative employer survey to better understand how Bitcoin companies experienced hiring in 2025.
Though fewer than 20 companies responded, I still found the insights presented very interesting (see slides 28–29, and a deeper dive in this article: “ Culture, Agency, and Proof of Work: Lessons from Bitcoin Employers in 2025”).
So, if you're quietly miserable in your fiat grind, daydreaming about Bitcoin-aligned work while telling yourself it's a fantasy—please stop. Nothing is impossible ;)
But.
Whatever path you choose, own it fully. PLEASE make sure it is YOUR decision—the one that aligns with your gut, not fleeting hype or outside influence (mine included).
Finally...
To wrap it up, a motto that carried me through my own professional transitions: ' Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life .'
Cliché?
Not really.
Look closer: It's a solid reminder to find fulfillment over obligation, in Bitcoin or beyond.
So, cheers to all of us in 2026! May we focus on what ignites our passion, building lives of freedom and purpose.
Keep stacking skills and experiences, not just sats.
