While many places around the world are settling into an autumn vibe, sunny El Salvador is gearing up for the next chapter of its annual conference, already in its fourth edition, which this year will especially welcome homeschoolers, public school teachers, mentors, as well as younger participants and entire families. Adopting Bitcoin: San Salvador, 15-16 November.
Numbers Have Something Special About Them.
- Nearly 48 months, Fourth Time In Action.
- Just Two Days Yet Hundreds of People, Thousands of Ideas, and Efforts…
It's hard to believe it's already been three years since this small yet brave country adopted Bitcoin as legal tender (remember: September 7, 2021). Just two months later, thanks in large part to the efforts of Galoy, the first official gathering took place in El Zonte and San Salvador to support the country’s bold move and educate locals about Bitcoin. Eventually, it attracted not only Salvadorans but also various groups from abroad. This dynamic two-day gathering quickly gained traction and has become a regular event, now drawing hundreds of attendees from around the world.
This, in a nutshell, is how November 16-18, 2021, became the cradle for Adopting Bitcoin, which at the time still carried the tagline ‘A Lightning Summit.’
'Adopting Bitcoin’ is an ideal name! The name that captures the essence of the conference’s goals and achievements, clearly conveying its identity and mission.
This year, the conference will take place on November 15-16, continuing its commitment to education and real-life adoption. Like the previous three editions, this one aims to inspire not only local participants but also guests from beyond El Salvador.
Adopting Bitcoin El Salvador is a hub of knowledge and experience, serving as an incubator for incredible ideas. This dynamic spirit is also echoed by the official event site, welcoming visitors with the slogan, "High-signal Bitcoin conference for builders."
Many people who have attended at least one from the past three editions say the same thing: it's much more than just a conference; it's an experience that strengthens, inspires, and motivates action.
When it comes to education and adoption, it's essential to focus on the foundation, which begins already with the youngsters and their mentors.
This year’s Adopting Bitcoin will be even more exceptional than previous editions. Partnering with ‘Bitcoin Junior Club: Sovereign Generation’ and getting additional support from local and global initiatives focused on youth and education, they are organizing a dedicated space for younger participants. ‘Bitcoin Para Niños’, the conference’s special bonus this year, is a dedicated zone where children can have fun, make new friends, and explore a range of topics, from sound money to creative thinking.
Some parts of the agenda will also be open to older participants, including parents, teachers, and anyone interested in discussing the importance of sound-money for younger generations. The program will feature engaging panels, original educational games with prizes, collaborative drawing and creative projects, as well as book readings and even elements combing a music + films elements: all available in both English and Spanish.
Details of the program should appear soon on the Adopting Bitcoin website, and also through more casual pieces at the portal run by Bitcoin Junior Club. It’s worth following the social media channels of these projects (*from X to Nostr; links below) too so you don’t miss any important information or surprises planned for these two November days.
Last but not least, I'm happy to mention that access to Bitcoin Para Niños is FREE for all Adopting Bitcoin ticket holders. Since kids under 18 don’t need extra tickets, it might be the perfect occasion to bring the younger members of your family along!
P.S. If you want to support Bitcoin Junior Club in their mission, check out their active campaign on Geyser Fund + consider sending even just a few sats. Every little bit counts!
